Hello!

a bit about me:

Paul Esswein is a young actor, middle child, and video game enthusiast from New York. He got his start in the business at the young age of 7 when he modeled in the Summer 2006 Denny’s clothing catalogue. After that, he got involved in some musicals and operas and his love for the arts kept growing and growing. Since then, he’s made his way to New York City to study musical theatre at the Manhattan School of Music (MSM) where he just recently graduated! Paul's a part of the LGBTQ+ community and loves to tell/perform gay stories and youthful stories! He studies Voice as a tenor under Bob Stillman and has studied acting with Peter Flynn, Andy Gale, and Boyd Gaines. At MSM he’s performed in many shows such as Spring Awakening (Ernst), An American Songbook: Irving Berlin (soloist), Sweeney Todd (ensemble), and Fiorello! (Card player). In his freshman year of college he also got to be part of the chorus for the Drama Guild Foundation’s gala (DGF:toasts) at the Hudson Theater honoring Stephen Schwartz’s 70th birthday. One of Paul’s most favorite experiences was when he played the lead role Homer in The Human Comedy workshop for the New York City Center Encores! Series directed by Sammi Cannold and supervised by Jack Viertel. Most recently Paul played the part of Randy in a Zoom play called "The Right Way" for the Jocunda Theatre Festival.
